After a successful first edition in 2024, CFL and their partners are back on June 3rd 2025, for the World Bicycle Day. Cycling and related leisure activities will be the spotlight at the Pfaffenthal-Kirchberg exchange hub from 11:00 AM to 5:30 PM and at the Belval Université station from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. On-site, enjoy food, drinks and various activities for both children and adults.
Between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM, we invite you to the Pfaffenthal-Kirchberg exchange hub. At several stands, get all the useful information about the Luxembourg cycling scene. Treat yourself to a snack from the food truck or a drink from the "coffeebike." To refresh yourself, enjoy a free ice cream on this special day.
Would you like to learn more about changing tires, adjusting gears, brake operation and settings, or general bike maintenance? A repair workshop will also be offered by the Automobile Club Luxembourg (ACL).
Interested in a little bike ride? Sightseeing.lu will guide you on 3 e-bike tours through the capital, including discovering green spaces and gardens designed as part of the LUGA (Departures: Tour 1 at 12:00 PM, Tour 2 at 12:30 PM, Tour 3 at 1:30 PM). 10 participants per session (for free, no registration required). Join Sightseeing.lu with your own bike. E-bikes will also be available for free on-site.
Do you have your own bike? Join Velosophie for a free guided city tour of Luxembourg starting at 12:00 PM. Plan for about two and a half hours of sightseeing. Please note, the number of participants for this tour is limited.
Starting at 3:00 PM, Auberges de Jeunesse Luxembourgeoises asbl invites you to join a 15 km tour along the Family-UNESCO-Tour.
Attention! The minimum age for participating in this approximately 2-hour tour is set at 12 years. Places are limited.
Join ProVelo for the first "Afterwork Bike Tour" from the Funicular platform to Luxembourg Central Station, Kockelscheuer and Bettembourg, heading toward Belval-Université, where activities will also be offered. (Distance: 35 km with an average speed of 20 km/h). The meeting point for this first "Afterwork Bike Tour" ist at 5:00 PM on the forecourt of the exchange hub Pfaffenthal-Kirchberg. (latest departure at 5:10 PM) with an expected arrival around 7:00 PM. A "Bike Parade" will start at 7:00 PM from Belval-Université Station, organized by ProVelo and Haus vum Vëlo. An "After Ride Party" (offered by Ville d’Esch-sur-Alzette) will await participants at Belval-Université until 10:00 PM.
If you haven’t already done so, come meet us on this day to register for free use of the 80 bike boxes (secured bike parking) spread across the country. Volunteers who wish to contribute to the development of our new app, which facilitates access to the bike boxes, can share their suggestions on June 3rd at the Pfaffenthal-Kirchberg exchange hub. They will take part in testing and developing the new tool!
