The Luxembourg National Railway Company
Founded in 1946, the Luxembourg National Railway Company or Société Nationale des Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois – SNCFL, is today one of the main economic players in the Grand Duchy, as the backbone of national and cross-border public transport. Its shareholders are the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg (94%), Belgium (4%) and France (2%). With its numerous subsidiaries, including 11 in the field of freight activities and more than 4,900 employees, the CFL Group ranks among the country's largest employers.
