The DoSto coaches are being modernised
To remain at the cutting edge of technology and improve service and comfort for customers, the CFL's 87 DoSto (double-decker) carriages, which have been in service since 2005, are currently undergoing a modernisation programme.

Thanks to several innovative projects, they will be gradually renewed and equipped with new functions by 2024 in order to promote more responsible and sustainable mobility.
The focus here is on two elements: saving resources (e.g. by replacing neon tubes with LEDs) and optimising the service life of this material, which is subject to particularly heavy wear and tear due to the exponential increase in the number of passengers and train operation itself.
