Immersive training in virtual reality
In collaboration with Deutsche Bahn's virtual reality training experts, the CFL Digital Learning team introduced the first immersive virtual reality training modules in 2022.

A VR headset and special controllers for realistic tests of the brakes on passenger and freight trains are available in the training room, which is specially equipped with sensors. A flexible, on-demand offer that is particularly suitable for new employees, who can train during this initial training period without needing to mobilise rolling stock and avoiding any risk. Based on this successful experience, the virtual reality training program is to be expanded to include further modules.
