This initiative, under the patronage of the Ministry of Mobility and Public Works, is supported by the City of Luxembourg, the CFL, Luxtram, the Administration des transports publics and the TICE. To celebrate this day, a national communication campaign across the various means of public transport actors as well as on the social networks of the various public transport players in Luxembourg was launched. Trains, trams and buses play an important role in the daily lives of tens of thousands of customers. Even if most journeys and interactions between customers and public transport staff go smoothly, some experiences show that respect is a fundamental social value for social life that must be preserved through constant joint efforts.
For this reason, those responsible for public transport have decided to address this issue repeatedly and under the slogan "Respect is as simple as hello". Henceforth, 3 May will be known as the "National Day of Respect: Of customers towards each other, of customers towards public transport staff and of staff towards customers."
