Theme
The creation of a high-performance multi-modal hub (train-tram-bus) in Howald is a key element of the transport concept for connecting the developing districts of Ban de Gasperich, Cloche d'Or and Howald. The CFL project is limited to the construction of two platforms, including access to the tracks and the adaptation of the plans. The deck of the new overpass will be built by the Administration des Ponts et Chaussées.
Following completion of the first phase (construction of a first platform and a passenger bridge in December 2017), the CFL is awaiting the commissioning of further related projects to start the second phase, which will see the construction of a second platform connecting to the new route Luxembourg - Bettembourg and the adjustment of the switch zones.
The completion of the overall project is scheduled for the end of 2026.
